Who are Ink Exchange?

Ink Exchange allow inkjet and toner cartridges to be refilled or recycled.

Old ink cartridges are emptied, cleaned, tested and refilled to enable them to be used again.

Toner cartridges are also collected and are broken down into parts and recycled.

Because of this Ink Exchange are able to sell ink cartridges and toner cartridges at much lower prices than the well known high street retailers, with savings of up to 90 per cent on inkjet cartridges and of up 60 per cent on toner cartridges.

Ink Exchange are also involved with many charities and schools, collecting old ink cartridges, recycling them, and raising money for these good causes. This proves to be a great way for these organisations to raise money and help the environment.

For details on how to raise money for your organisation you can contact Ink Exchange by any of the methods here

Why should I recycle my ink cartridges?

Placing old printer ink cartridges into landfill can cause problems for the environment.

Every year more than one billion ink cartridges are used and most of these are thrown away. This figure is predicted to double in the next three years.

Recycling ink cartridges and toner cartridges is a great way to fundraise for your school, non-profit organisation or charity AND you help the environment.

What is a compatible inkjet cartridge?

Compatible ink cartridges are non-OEM new cartridges - not recycled. Compatible printer inkjet cartridges are manufactured by a third party to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) specifications. Each printer ink cartridge is carefully researched, manufactured and tested.

What is a remanufactured cartridge?

A remanufactured ink cartridge is a refilled original cartridge. Many printer manufacturers now encourage people to recycle ink cartridges and toner cartridges. These recycled cartridges are then refilled or remanufactured.

What does OEM mean?

OEM means 'Original Equipment Manufacturer' which means an ink cartridge manufactured by the same company as the printer manufacturer.

Does using remanufactured/compatible inkjet and laser cartridges void my warranty?

Hewlett-Packard state that using a refilled print cartridge will not affect the warranty unless failure or damage is attributable to it. This is typical of all manufacturers' warranties.

Why should I buy a compatible cartridge?

Errmm... because it's cheaper!

Will I get the same number of printed pages from a compatible inkjet cartridge as from an original inkjet cartridge?

Compatible inkjet cartridges produce at least the same number of printed pages as from an OEM inkjet cartridge - and in many cases you will get more printed copies from your compatible ink cartridge.
